Shoplifter jailed for string of thefts in Walsall
A shoplifter has been jailed for carrying out multiple shop thefts in Walsall.

Isaac Miller, aged 28, from Gurney Place, was jailed for 23 weeks after appearing at Walsall Magistrates Court last week. He pleaded guilty to five counts of theft.
PC Lauren Burton, neighbourhood policing officer at Walsall LPA, said: “This sentence sends out a clear message that if you carry out shoplifting in Walsall you will be arrested, charged and face time behind bars.
“As part of Op Marigold we are actively pursuing shoplifters and warn offenders who carry out shoplifting across Walsall that we will arrest you and bring you before the courts.”
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Shop thefts and shoplifting is a priority at Walsall LPA. We recently launched Op Marigold in a bid to tackle shoplifting across the Walsall borough. Good work has already taken place across the borough to combat shoplifting and our neighbourhood officers regularly work alongside businesses.
"A new Problem Solving Team is also now up and running tackling issues across Walsall LPA. This includes issues such shoplifting, anti-social behaviour and exploring civil intervention orders to prevent further offending and reduce crime in our communities.
