Closure of two lanes on M6 was down to pothole
All lanes are now open on the M6 northbound after an hour long closure due to a pothole repair
The closure of two lanes, at around 11am, led to delays of 20 minutes and three miles of congestion northbound between junction 9 for Walsall and junction 10 for Wolverhampton.
A National Highways: West Midlands spokesman confirmed the closure was for the repair of a large pothole which had been causing problems for motorists.
He said: "The work was carried out as quickly as possible to minimise disruption and the carriageway was open again by mid-day with a few residual delays but traffic is now free flowing,
