Walsall reverend to host public meeting to discuss plans to convert workshop into flats
A reverend is set to hold a public meeting after members of the community raised concerns about plans to convert an empty workshop next door to their church in residential accommodation.

Reverend Desmond Jaddoo is the presiding bishop of The Village Fellowship, which is based at 57 Wednesbury Road in Walsall.
However, the community has become aware that there is a planning application to convert the neighbouring properties, 59-61 Wednesbury Road, into 17 self-contained assisted living flats for vulnerable adults and one room to provide 24-hour staff cover.
If the scheme goes ahead there would be a single full-time worker and two part-time employed.
But neighbouring church, The Village Fellowship, has organised a public meeting on Monday over concerns the development would in effect become a house of multiple occupation (HMO) if approved by Walsall Council. A HMO is defined as a house or flat that is rented out to three or more tenants who are not from the same household.
