M6 closed in both directions due to man on bridge
The M6 was closed in both directions today after a man was spotted standing on the wrong side of railings on a bridge.
The motorway was shut near Junction 10 for Walsall at around 11am due to concerns for the man's safety, causing havoc for motorists.
West Midlands Police said the motorway was expected to open shortly.
A force spokesman said: "We were alerted to a man standing on the wrong side of bridge railings above junction 10 of the M6 just before 11am today.
"The motorway was closed in both directions, but the man safely came down just after noon and the motorway will re-open shortly."
