Man seriously injured as car hits wall on busy Walsall road
A seriously injured man was taken to hospital after a car smashed into a wall next to a busy road in Walsall.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene and Broadway West was closed after the crash happened near the junction of Alexandra Road shortly after 4pm on Friday.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a serious head injury, West Midlands Police said.

Officers are now investigating the smash after reports that the car was stolen.
Photos taken in the aftermath of the crash showed a badly damaged coupe straddling the pavement next to an uprooted tree and a brick wall with a section missing.
Debris, including a wheel and a wing mirror, was strewn across the road, which remained closed for several hours.

An ambulance, paramedic officer and air ambulance were all sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Broadway West in Walsall today at around 4.15pm to a traffic collision where a car had crashed into a tree.
"An investigation is underway and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 1702 of August 17."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called at 4.10pm to Broadway West.
"We were called to reports of a car that had collided with a wall."
