Ben Lawton passed away suddenly last month aged just 35 after collapsing at his home in Reedswood, Walsall.

The cause is still inconclusive but it is suspected his unexpected death could be linked to epilepsy which Ben had battled during his life, as well as autism and learning difficulties.

In tribute to Ben, four cranes from ABA Crane Hire joined the funeral cortège as his body was taken to Streetly Crematorium today.

His coffin was transported to Streetly Crematorium in an ABA Cranes van, while the pallbearers from the firm wore orange high-visibility clothing.

Ben would stand out side the company's depot in Reaymer Close almost every day since he was a teenager.

Simon Ward, who worked for ABA Cranes, knew Ben well.

He said: "Every day he would stand outside the gates, waiting for cranes to come back in.

"He was always there, and now all of a sudden he's not there. It's really strange and quite sad."
