Large fire at former Walsall pub
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a former pub.
Flames were reported at The White Horse on Green Lane, Walsall, around 10.20am today.
Four fire crews are in attendance including a hydraulic platform being used to tackle the blaze which is believed to have originated on the first floor.
Green Lane has been closed off for the meantime.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokeswoman said: "The incident came in at 10.20am.
"We have got two appliances from Walsall and one from Bloxwich in attendance.
"We also have the big hydraulic platform over from Oldbury.
"The fire is on the first floor of the two-storey derelict pub.
"Gas and electrics have been isolated. Police are also in attendance.
"The cause has not been determined yet. We have four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets in use."
