Man dies in fall from M6 bridge
A man died after falling from a bridge over the M6 today, closing the motorway to traffic for several hours.
A motorist alerted police after seeing the man lying in the southbound carriageway at junction 10, the turn-off for Wolverhampton and Walsall, at 5.25am yesterday.
The injured man was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
The motorway was closed for more than three hours, reopening at around 9am.
