Young girl hit by car near school
A young girl has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car close to a school.
Police and paramedics were called to the incident in Blakemore Road in Walsall Wood at 8.37am.
An air ambulance also landed in the grounds of the nearby school, Castlefort School.
The girl suffered bruising to the head, plus injuries to nose and hip.
She was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital by land ambulance.
Police closed the road.
