Stafford woman killed in crash named by police

A woman killed in a crash in Staffordshire has been named by police.

Police are investigating the fatal crash

Catherine Smith, aged 57, of Stafford, died in a crash near Uttoxeter on Sunday.

She was a passenger in a silver Peugeot 206 which collided with a white Alfa Romeo Mito.

It happened at the crossroads near Holly Lane and Quee Lane, in Loxley, at around 2pm.

Staffordshire Police say specialist officers are supporting her family.

Officers from the West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and carried out a detailed examination.

Anyone who saw either of the two vehicles before the collision is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 407 of 29 September.

The force also requested anyone with dashcam footage from around the time of the crash to email ciu@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk
