Attempted murder charge after man stabbed in Cannock
A 39-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Cannock.
Robert Gearing has today been charged with the attempted murder of a 24-year-old man in Danby Drive.
The victim was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital on Tuesday following what police called a 'serious assault' in the street.
He is currently in a stable condition. Gearing, of Danby Drive, will appear at Cannock Magistrates Court this morning.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
