StaffsRCT team also shared images of the scooters in a post on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption: "Today, we have completed an operation in the @EStaffsPolice area targeting E-Scooters.

"A total of 13 E-Scooters have been seized under the Road Traffic Act. Remember to ride an E-Scooter on a road in the U.K. you need a valid driving licence and insurance."

The seizures came as part of Operation Lightning - a  dedicated operation focusing on road safety, helping to make Staffordshire's roads safer.

It aims to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries on the roads and to disrupt and deter criminals from using the road network.
