Government minister to visit Bridgnorth business to understand challenges facing industry
A government minister has vowed to visit a Shropshire manufacturing firm to understand the challenges they are facing.

Bridgnorth Aluminium, a leading name in the United Kingdom's aluminium rolled products sector, recently invested £2million in new technology at its 66-acre facility.

However, the company has also spoken of recent challenges, including pressures from tariffs, carbon reporting, and the rising cost in energy prices.
One of its major European customers also moved its production facility to China, losing the Bridgnorth firm a contract.
South Shropshire MP Stuart Anderson recently visited the firm's Stourbridge Road plant, and has announced that Minister of State for Industry, Sarah Jones, has agreed to visit the Bridgnorth business.
He said: “In recent visits to Bridgnorth Aluminium, I have become aware of the challenges they are encountering and have communicated these concerns to the Minister of State for Industry, highlighting the pressures the company is under.
“I received encouraging news with the Minister expressing in her response letter 'I plan to visit the company as soon as my diary allows'.
“I look forward to welcoming the Minister to visit this vital local employer and will continue to stand up for local businesses.”
