Totem poles are hand-carved monuments created by the native people of the Pacific Northwest Coast to represent their history, culture, and beliefs.
Some can tower over twenty feet, but the new arrival at the Old Mill Antiques Centre in Bridgnorth fortunately is a little shorter, and the centre's owner John Ridgway believes it'll make a great festive gift.
He said: “This wooden carved totem pole is perhaps the most unusual Christmas present you could find locally this festive season.
“It was made in British Columbia and features wonderful authentic decoration – the only issue would maybe be how to wrap it as it’s so tall!”
The totem pole is priced at £450 and is available at the Old Mill Antiques Centre, in Mill Street, Low Town.
