Star Aluminium FC was formed in the 1960s. It was created at the factory bearing its name that later became Bridgnorth Aluminium.

The team, which played on a ground at the factory in Stourbridge Road, gradually took on more players from outside the factory floor, and by the late 1990s was playing in the West Midlands Premier division.

Unfortunately, the team disbanded in 2002 and its ground was turned into a car park.

On Saturday, October 15, however, 110 former players of Star Aluminium gathered at Bridgnorth Town Football AFC for a reunion.
