Fire rips through West Bromwich factory
Thirty firefighters tackle a large blaze at a factory in West Bromwich.
Arsonists have been blamed for the fire at the former Liberty Drawn Tubes site.
Flames rose into the nights sky as the fire took hold at around 11.25pm on Monday.
West Midlands Fire Service crews were called to the derelict factory in Phoenix Street, Greets Green.
Crews arrived at the scene within five minutes in a bid to quell the flames.
Six fire engines with 30 firefighters attended the blaze at its height.
A crew also used an aerial platform to fight the fire from above.
Fire service spokesman Neil Spencer said: "By midnight we had the fire surrounded and good progress was being made.
"A little later, we were able to reduce the number of fire engines there to three."
He said crews were making return visits on Tuesday to check if there was any potential for the fire to reignite.
West Midlands Fire Service said the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
The investigation has been handed over to police. Anyone with information can call police on 101.
