Sea-Change Theatre Company put on the fun day this past weekend at the Coneygre Centre on Sedgley Road East in Tipton to help raise money towards its next production.

The fun day included bobbing apples, hook a duck and a treasure hunt.

In the end the day, that ran from around 10am until midday on Saturday, raised around £400 for C-Change's musical production in October - where the group will be performing a concert of music from the 1950s through to the present day.

The money raised will go towards hiring at the Coneygre Centre as well as on lighting for the show.

Kierron Emery, 23, from Oldbury, who co-founded Sea-Change along with his former Oldbury Academy teacher Ann Cartwright, said: "We are a youth theatre group that was set up in September 2013 by myself and Ann.

"Over the years we have transformed from starting out with two members to more than 40 now.

"The fun day was to raise money for the show we are doing in October across the 22nd and 23rd at the Coneygre Centre.

"The day included all stuff the kids had put together including hook a duck, shoot the target, treasure hunt, teddy bear raffle and apple bobbing. There was also some singing.

"I am not too sure how much we have raised yet but I think it is around £400. The money will go towards the hiring of the venue as well as the lighting for October's production.

"We are trying to do four or five fundraisers a year all to help the kids have a better theatre experience."

Asked about how Sea-Change was formed, Mr Emery added: "Ann was my old high school drama teacher who saw something in special in me.

"She was retiring and I had finished studying drama at university and we said we would like to do something for the community and for the kids who are scared to perform drama in school.

"I am incredibly proud of it."
