Girl, three, hit by car in Tipton crash

A three-year-old girl was hit by a car during rush hour in Tipton.

The incident happened in Upper Church Lane just after 8.40am this morning.

She was treated at the scene for a foot injury before being taken to Sandwell Hospital.

Jamie Arrowsmith, West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, said: "We were called to a collision between a car and pedestrian. It was a three-year-old girl who had suffered a foot injury.

"She was looked after at the scene and then taken to Sandwell Hospital.

"One ambulance and one paramedic officer were there."

Police also attended the crash.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We were called to a collision in Upper Church lane, Tipton at 8.45am today.

“A car was in collision with a child who has been taken to hospital with foot injuries.”
