Tributes left outside Rowley Regis station after 13-year-old boy's death on the tracks
Friends and loved ones have left flowers, cards and banners outside Rowley Regis Railway Station after a teenager was killed on the tracks.
The 13-year-old Oldbury Academy pupil died on Monday, November 30 just after 3.30pm.
Now his classmates, teachers and friends have left tributes to him outside the station, where he been named as 'Nat'.
A banner pinned to the rails reads: "RIP Nat 'Dream,' sleep in peace, you will be deeply missed, rest with the angels, we all love you Nat."
Academy headteacher Philip Shackleton and other teachers took pupils down to the shrine to pay their respects.
And he sent a message to parents this week in a bid to try and help devastated students.
He said: "Out of respect for the family’s wishes for privacy, we are not in a position to share our tribute to a student who died last week.
"We will do so at an appropriate time.
"We would however like to give our students the opportunity to write a message of condolence which we will share with his family via the Police Family Liaison Officer.
"We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone but we are keen for our students to remember and share their memories of a much loved member of our school community."
One of the tributes at the station read: "To Nat, I hope you are having a great time in a better place now. Nobody will ever forget you – how could they. I remember the day we met, you will always be in my heart."
British Transport Police said the boy's death is not being treated a suspicious and has been referred to the coroner.
