Lucky Labrador, Buster, was pulled from a flat in Birmingham and instantly given state of the art oxygen treatment.

Using special animal therapy equipment to revive him, at least three firemen comforted the stricken pup, giving him ear and head rubs while the gas is applied.

After 40 seconds of treatment, Buster quickly came around and was more than happy to give out some loving licks as the firefighters continue to tickle him.

The firemen from Billesley Fire Service were called to the home on Monday after a kitchen blaze left the dog unconscious.

Billesley Fire Station tweeted: "Puppy rescued by firefighters, unconscious from inhaled smoke.

"Firefighters managed to resuscitate the pup using new animal 02 therapy equipment now carried on trucks."

Half an hour later, the fire station tweeted out a picture of Buster with his rescuers showing him much healthier.
