Elderly man found dead in Stourbridge pool
An elderly man has been found dead in a pool in Stourbridge.
Emergency services were called to a field off Bells Lane in Wordsley just after 9.30am today.
A man, aged in his 70s, was found dead in a pool.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained but West Midlands Police have said officers do not believe it to be suspicious.
A spokesman for the force said: "We were called to reports of a body in a pool off Bells Lane in Wordsley at just after 9.30am today.
"A man, thought to be in his 70s, was sadly found deceased.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.
"Enquiries continue into the circumstances around his death and to identify his next of kin."
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called by the police at 9.36am to a field off Bells Lane in Wordsley.
"An ambulance, two paramedic officers, HART paramedics and a critical care paramedic attended. A man was found in water. Sadly nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead on scene."
