Eight fire crews tackle grassland fire near Stourbridge
Dozens of firefighters have tackled a large blaze on glassland close to woods.
At its height, eight crews attended in a bid to quell the flames near Stourbridge.
The fire involved grass and woodland on land off Lawnswood Road, between Stourton and Wordsley.
The number of fire crews were later scaled down to two.
It is not yet known what caused the fire on Saturday afternoon.
A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Eight fire engines from Staffordshire and the West Midlands were originally there.
"Now we have two crews there from Wombourne and Codsall. There is also a special appliance from Cannock which helps tackle fires on difficult terrain.
"It involves grass and woodland which is currently being dealt with. We cannot determine the cause of it yet.
