A competition to win a luxury Black Country home has been extended by almost a month – as the owners try to sell more tickets.

The deadline to enter the Win Your Dream contest has now been moved to August 19, rather than the original July 20.

The incredible prize is up for grabs as part of a charity raffle – and includes a four-bedroom home worth more than £500,000 in Sedgley, Dudley, in its entirety, along with a Jacuzzi hot tub and a Range Rover Autobiography.

But not enough tickets were sold by the deadline – and homeowners Lydia and Paul Browning have decided to keep the competition running to get more people to enter.

Mike Chatha, who runs Win Your Dream and is working closely with the owners to sell their home, said extending the contest would also help the charity they have chosen to donate a portion of the profits too.

He said: "We did well, but we're not quite there yet. So we've had a chat with the owners Lydia and Paul Browning about whether we should extend the competition by a few weeks and sell enough tickets to be able to award the house as the prize, or whether we should offer the cash prize of 80 per cent ticket sales instead.

Change

"And while several hundred thousand pounds would definitely change some lucky person's life, we've all decided to extend the deadline.

"Firstly Lydia and Paul really care about our official charity partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities.

"Our minimum donation will mean we can give them £10,000 which would pay for 400 nights accommodation for the families of very sick children who are away from home. But if we were able to give more, that would be even better."

Tickets to enter the raffle cost £2.

It comes after Mike sold his own house in Shropshire via a similar raffle. It was won by 23-year-old Jemma Nicklin from Bilston who was at the time living with her parents.

There is also a £5,000 prize up for grabs for whoever shares the link the most, leading to the highest number of ticket sales.
