Members of the Halesowen In Bloom team have been left devastated after vandals ripped flowers from their planters in Halesowen Town Centre last night.

The incident occurred only days before judges from the Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) are supposed to visit the town as part of the Britain In Bloom contest this year.

Halesowen North Councillor, Stuart Henley, said: "I know it happened a few weeks ago with the planters up the road, everyone is fuming.

"Everyone is doing a lot of hard work, Halesowen In Bloom has worked really hard to make the Halesowen attractive for everyone to enjoy and then you get low-lives ruin it.
