Audi S7 offered as prom chauffeur service in exchange for hospital donations
A Black Country man is offering to be a school prom chauffeur in a bid to raise money for a cause close to his heart.
Adam Cullen, from Halesowen, is offering his unique service in exchange for cash donations for Birmingham Children's Hospital, which helped his young brother.
He is also keen to help families who would not otherwise be able to afford special transport.
The 23-year-old regional car equipment salesman, said: "I started doing this and offering to take teenagers to their proms when I realised there was a need as some parents cannot afford a limousine for their children.
"I was one of those children years ago and went to my prom in a neighbour's car.
"Two years ago I offered the service in return for donations to the hospital and made about 30 runs which raised more than £2,000 for the hospital.
"Last year there was no need for the service as things were put on hold because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"I decided to offer my services again using my Audi S7 and hope to fit trips around my work within a ten-mile radius which includes Walsall and Wolverhampton.
"I ask people to put their donation in an envelope and hope that they will be fair and give what they can afford dependent on how many people are in the vehicle and the distance travelled.
"The hospital is such a good cause as staff there helped my brother, Mason Williams, now 11-years-old, who lives in Stafford and who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
"The condition means the left side of the heart does not form correctly.
"He would not have been here if it wasn't for them.
"Mason was born with half a heart effectively and he also has a lot of issues and is still small for his age."
Adam is keen for people who might need his help to contact him as soon as possible through the adamcullen@live.co.uk email address.
He said: "I do not want to disappoint people who might find I am already booked for a certain date and time."
