Man left with 'potentially life-changing injuries' after Dudley crash
A man has been taken to hospital with "potentially life-changing injuries" following a crash between a motorcyclist and a car.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on Commonside, Pensnett, shortly before 11am on Saturday.
The motorcyclist, a man, has been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, with "potentially life-changing injuries".
West Midlands Police has urged anyone with information on the crash to get in touch.
A spokesman for the force said: "The driver has been spoken to by officers and enquiries continue.
"Anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage should get in touch, quoting log 1280 of January 6.
"Road safety is a priority for us and partners including Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), local authorities and the region’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
"We joined forces under the Operation Triton banner last year to pledge action to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured on our roads and this work continues."
The road has been closed as a result of the collision, with bus services facing disruption.
National Express West Midlands has advised customers that the number 2 and 15 have been diverted in both directions via Bromley Lane and Bryce Road.
In a statement issued to X, formerly Twitter, West Midlands Roads warned motorists of "major disruption" and advised they seek alternative routes.
The Express & Star has approached West Midlands Ambulance Service for comment.
