It was also the year that 68-year-old steeplejack Les Dunn - who didn't look the type of gentleman who would favour Bri-Nylon clothing - was pictured by the Express & Star carrying out the nerve-wracking task of repairing the damaged masonry at Top Church in Dudley High Street, perched on a ladder 175ft above the ground.
