A spokesman for the planning inspectorate confirmed that all the documents had now been submitted for the planning inquiry to take place, although a date and venue was yet to be announced.
But he said the inspectorate was still waiting on some 'outstanding information' which was holding up proceedings.
The spokesman said that four weeks' notice would need to be given before the inquiry would commence, but the Express & Star understands the inspectorate is keen to begin the inquiry 'as soon as possible' once the outstanding information is obtained.
The inquiry is to determine whether the former pub at Himley, near Dudley, said to have been 'Britain's wonkiest pub' due to subsidence, should be rebuilt on the same site as it once stood.
