Aminur Rahman, who runs Le Raj Indian Restaurant in Gornal Wood, Dudley, has delivered piles of parcelled up cans of food to  the nearby Zoar Chapel for its Community Grocery Store.

For the past 25 years the boss of the Louise Street restaurant has given out food parcels or cooked meals for a range of good causes at Christmas.

Mr Rahman said: "Each Christmas I like to help others in need from the Gornal Wood area and hope I can make a difference in some small way at this special time of year."

Pete Wright, Pastor of Springs Church which meets at Zoar Chapel, said he was very grateful for the donation.

He said: "We are currently serving 50 families per week who are struggling with the rising costs of food.

"This donation is much appreciated and will go directly to helping people in need in our immediate community."
