The group, called Hrafn Vaeringi, is based at Brockswood Animal Sanctuary and presented the donations to an organisation called 'Santa's a Gangster' which has been handing gifts to youngsters in need for seven years.

Lee Southerton, who started Santa's a Gangster, which is part of Dudley Council's Operation Santa, said the group also refurbishes a Beetle every year which is raffled off for the appeal at £5 a ticket.

Lee, of Volkmagic in Oldbury, said: "It's a brand-new looking car and it's going to be raffled off this Friday.

"All proceeds from Santa's a Gangster go to Operation Santa in Dudley, to support children who might think Santa has forgotten about them.

"Thousands of gifts are donated each year, which is great. It's immeasurable how it helps."
