2,300 sign petition against possible business park
More than 2,300 people have now signed a petition against a possible business park on the edge of Wall Heath.
A vision document has been prepared by CWC Group for a vast site the size of 90 football pitches which would create a huge extension to the village. No plans have yet been submitted. The development would include offices and warehouses.
However, the intention to build on green belt land has sparked alarm among villagers in Wall Heath. MP Mike Wood has also insisted there is "absolutely no justification" for "destroying" the green belt.
And residents have made clear that if a formal planning application is submitted they are ready to fight it all the way.
The total who have signed a petition against the possible proposals currently stands at 2,334.
