The Duncan Edwards Foundation is the brainchild of Rose Cook, who wrote and directed a documentary about the footballer.

Manchester United and England star Duncan, who was from Dudley, died on February 21, 1958 in the Munich air disaster.

Rose was behind the 55-minute documentary '…And Then Came Munich' about Duncan.

The aim of the foundation is to raise funds to support young people in Dudley borough with sporting abilities but who cannot afford training, kit or travelling expenses.

Rose said: "We want to be able to give them the funds, advise and expertise to follow their dreams and to achieve the way that Duncan did."

The foundation is looking for sponsors, donations, ideas and advice.
