Vikki Jones, aged 30, died after the crash in Wood Road, Lower Gornal, at around 10.10pm on September 22.

A BMW, Alfa Romeo and Mitsubishi vehicle were involved in the crash at the junction of Wood Avenue.

Ms Jones was treated at the scene by paramedics but despite their best efforts she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now residents from the road will hold a candlelit memorial this Friday (OCT 6) evening at the scene at 9.45pm.

There will be readings and celebrations of Ms Jones life before a two minute silence at 10pm.

It comes as residents asked for traffic calming measures to be installed on the stretch of road following the crash.

An 11-year-old girl, thought to be Ms Jones' daughter, was also taken to hospital with arm injuries.

Floral tributes were laid at the scene last weekend.

A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving was released on police bail last week.
