Man denies High Street murder

A man today pleaded not guilty to murdering a father-of-two who died after being stabbed.

The 20-year-old, of Blewitt Street, Pensnett, Brierley Hill, denied the murder charge when he appeared at Birmingham Crown Court.

Parker-Lee, who appeared via video link from HMP Brinsford, is accused of stabbing 24-year-old Mr Mahmood in the chest on October 15.

Factory worker Mr Mahmood was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham after staggering into a Dixi Chicken takeaway.

But he died a short time later, leaving behind his wife Aisha and two children Isa and Awais.

Parker-Lee was remanded in custody and is due before the court for trial on February 5 next year.
