Mother and young children treated after two-car smash in Dudley
A mother and her two young children were among those taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Dudley.
Emergency services were called to Laurel Road, on the Priory estate, at around 9.30am on Wednesday.
They treated the mother and her children at the roadside before they were taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
A two-year-old boy and a baby boy were taken for precautionary checks along with their mother who had been in one of the cars.
A man, travelling in the second car, had to be released from by firefighters for treatment.
It is thought the man, aged in his 20s, hit the windscreen during the impact of the crash.
He suffered neck and leg injuries and was complaining of chest pain.
He was also taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
West Midlands Fire Service spokesman Neil Spencer said: "It involved two cars in collision and one man trapped by his injuries.
"Firefighters had to use cutting equipment to get him out.
"We sent two fire crews from Brierley Hill and Dudley, with a total of ten firefighters."
A road closure was in place while services were at the scene.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman Claire Brown added: "A male driver had hit the windscreen and had a head injury, chest pain and a neck injury.
"The injuries appeared to be minor."
