Two taken to hospital after crash in Dudley

Two drivers were taken to hospital after a two-car crash in the Black Country.

The smash, between and BMW and a Citroen, occurred in The Parade, Dudley at around 3.20pm today.

It led to Salop Street being shut off for traffic while emergency services attended the scene and cleared debris.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We were called just before 3.20pm to a two-car crash. One ambulance was also at the scene.

"Salop Street was closed off. The drivers were taken to Russells Hall Hospital with minor injuries."

Sandwell and Dudley Force Response posted on Twitter: "RTC, The Parade, Dudley. Road closed both directions.

"Please avoid while we clear the debris. Minor injuries being treated by @OFFICIALWMAS."

Meanwhile police officers, firefighters and ambulance crew were sent to a crash in Pensnett where a car had smashed through a fence next to a house. Nobody was injured in the crash.
