Ten fire engines and three 4×4 brigade response vehicles attendance the fire the single storey factory building in Tame Road, Witton in Birmingham, which broke out around 1am on Sunday. No casualties were involved but nearby roads were closed to ensure public safety.

The crews were supported by two aerial ladder platforms, a high-volume pumping unit, and several specialist crews, including drone and command support teams, with multiple main jets and hose reel jets in use

A short time ago, West Midlands Fire Service issued an update to say good progress had been made and resources have been reduced to three crews.

The post read: " Local residents should continue to keep doors and windows closed. "
