Three rides in total were closed following an incident on December 12 where the City Star Flyer in Centenary Square started going backwards before carriages were dropped towards the ground.
Among the 13 injured, two people were taken to hospital following the incident, with those affected describing being hit with 'flying glass' and suffering wounds to their face, legs and arms.
Among the rides closed was the popular Big Wheel, an attraction that many families ride as part of their Christmas traditions.
Now, while the City Star Flyer will remain closed, it has been reported that the Big Wheel and one other ride will reopen prior to the Christmas period.
The BBC said that it understands the two rides will reopen before Christmas.
Two people, aged 55 and 21, have been bailed after they were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and obstructing officers, while the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is also investigating.
In a statement released by the Health and Safety Executive, they said they "appreciated the concern" around the incident and are working with the relevant authorities.
Birmingham City Council also said that it was aware that the company behind the ride, Danter Attractions Ltd, are conducting an independent assessment of the two rides that were not involved in the incident.
Talking to the BBC, a Danter Attractions Ltd spokesperson said the firm's thoughts are with those affected by the incident.
They said: "There is an ongoing investigation and we are fully cooperating with the authorities.
"At this time we are unable to provide any additional comment."
