Person pronounced dead following serious incident at West Midlands train station
A person has been pronounced dead following a serious incident at a train station in Birmingham over the weekend.

British Transport Police confirmed an unidentified person died near University Railway Station in Selly Oak, Birmingham on Saturday (November 16).
West Midlands Railway posted on X at the time that all lines were blocked between Birmingham New Street and Longbridge.
But not it has been confirmed that police officers and paramedics attended the scene and someone was pronounced dead. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just before 2.50pm on Saturday (16 November) near University Railway Station in Birmingham.
"Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
At the time, passengers were warned to check before they travel as rail replacement services had been requested - with National Express West Midlands buses accepting tickets for travel.
Services reopened at approximately 4.50pm that evening with some residual delays.
