Man taken to hospital after stabbing near primary school
A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed during a suspected car-jacking in Birmingham.
The incident happened on Paget Road, Erdington, at around 9.30pm near to Paget Primary School.
The victim, in his 20s, suffered injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening. It is understood his car was taken after he was attacked.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Enquiries into who was involved are ongoing. We'll have officers are in the area to provide reassurance to the local community."
An ambulance, two paramedic officers and a trauma doctor attended the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival we discovered one male patient who was treated for serious injuries before being taken to hospital for further assessment."
