Cat rescued from top of telegraph pole
This lucky moggy risked one of his nine lives after climbing to the top of a telegraph pole in Birmingham.
The tabby cat was perched at the top upon fire crews arrival just before 10am this morning (THURS) to Broughton Road, Handsworth.
One crew from Handsworth Fire Station attended and took just under an hour to fetch the feline down.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson, said: "The crew attended at 9.57am and the cat was rescued and brought down to safety.
"A ladder was used as well as working at height gear. The crew left the scene at 10.55am."
A picture posted on Twitter by West Midlands Fire showed the cat sitting calmly at the top against a blue sky backdrop.
They said: "At the request of the RSPCA, crews helped rescue this cat which was stuck on a telegraph pole!"
