No new Covid deaths in region's hospitals
No further coronavirus deaths have been confirmed at hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
It means the total number of Covid hospital deaths in the region remains 7,579 after the latest figures were released by the NHS on Monday
On top of this, a total of 1,397 people have died in the region's care homes after contracting coronavirus.
NHS England confirmed a further three deaths on Monday, meaning 86,967 have now died in the country's hospitals after testing positive for Covid.
On Sunday, one death was announced at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospitals, taking the total to 1,173.
A total of 800 people have died at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, 737 at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and 720 at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
And a total of 2,608 people have died at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. The trust runs the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope hospitals.
A total of 41,938,694 vaccinations have been carried out across England to date – including first and second doses.
In the Midlands, 5,563,735 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine has been administered, while 2,417,315 second doses have been carried out.
The data includes vaccinations carried out between December 8 and May 2.
