Coronavirus: Further 35 deaths at Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire hospitals
A further 35 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
In total, 3,566 people have now died in the region's hospitals after contracting Covid-19.
A further 770 have died with coronavirus in care homes in the region since the pandemic began.
In England, a further 351 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 39,570.
In today's figures from the NHS, 12 more deaths were announced at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs County Hospital in Stafford, bringing the total to 569.
Another seven deaths were confirmed at the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospitals, where the death toll increased to 544.
Three more deaths were recorded at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, where 339 people have died after catching the disease.
And one more death was confirmed at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals, where the death toll has now increased to 356.
And a total of 11 deaths were announced at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals, where the total stands at 1,321.
One more death was also recorded at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
No new deaths were recorded at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, where the total remains at 350.
Elsewhere, one more death was confirmed at the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.
A spokesman for NHS England said: "A further 351 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 39,570.
"Patients were aged between 30 and 102 years old. All except 11 – aged 38 to 90 years old – had known underlying health conditions.
"Date of death ranges from 29 October to 25 November 2020 with the majority being on or after 23 November.
"Their families have been informed."
