Another 41 coronavirus deaths at hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
A further 41 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
It means a total of 3,311 people have died in the region’s hospitals after contracting coronavirus since the pandemic began.
On top of this, 750 have died with coronavirus in care homes in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire since April 10 when recording began.
Meanwhile the UK-wide death toll released by the Government, which includes deaths in and out of hospital within 28 days of a positive test, increased by 501 to 53,775 today.
Across the region
Five more deaths were recorded at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospitals, where the toll increased to 498.
Four people died at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, where the total who have died is 330.
Two people died at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals, where the death toll has now increased to 334.

A total of 17 more people died at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals, where the total stands at 1,239.
At the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs County Hospital in Stafford and the Royal Stoke University Hospital, nine more people died, taking the total to 514.
And four people died at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, where the toll is 311.
Three more people died at Worcestershire Acute NHS Foundation Trust.
A spokesman for the NHS said: "A further 346 people, who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 37,470.
"Patients were aged between 35 and 102 years old. All except nine – aged 54 to 99 years old – had known underlying health conditions.
"Date of death ranges from 19 October to 18 November 2020 with the majority being on or after 16 November.
"Their families have been informed."
