45 more coronavirus deaths in hospitals across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
A further 45 coronavirus patients have died in hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
It means a total of 3,247 people have died from Covid-19 in the region's hospitals since the pandemic began.
Eleven more people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in local care homes.
NHS figures, released today, showed a further 330 people in England's hospitals had died – bringing the total to 36,842.
Altogether 86 people died in the Midlands – the most out of any area in the country except for the North West, where 87 died.

Nine deaths were recorded at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Foundation Trust, which runs County Hospital in Stafford and the Royal Stoke University Hospital. The death toll is now at 501.
Two deaths were recorded at the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell General and City hospitals, where the toll increased to 492.
Four people died at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital, where the total who have died is 324.
Four people also died at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals, where the death total increased to 331.
Seven deaths were reported at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, where the toll is 301.
And 18 deaths were announced at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull hospitals, where the total stands at 1,213.
One more patient also died at the Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Four people have died at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, today's figures show.
An NHS spokesman said: "A further 330 people, who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 36,842.
"Patients were aged between 27 and 99 years old. All except 11 (aged 30 to 93 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
"Date of death ranges from 29 October to 16 November 2020 with the majority being on or after 13 November.
"Their families have been informed."
Also released today by the Office of National Statistics, 11 more people have died after testing positive for coronavirus in local care homes.
Four people died in Staffordshire, two in Walsall, two in Sandwell, two in Birmingham and one in Wolverhampton.
It takes the total of coronavirus care home deaths in the region to 750.
