Five new coronavirus deaths in Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
Five more coronavirus deaths have been reported at hospitals in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
Two more people have died at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, one patient has died at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, one person has died at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, and one person has died at The University North Midlands NHS Trust in Staffordshire.
It means the death toll at hospitals across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire is now at 2,653.
On top of this, 705 people have died in the region's care homes after contracting Covid-19.
No other deaths were confirmed at hospital trusts in Wolverhampton or Dudley today.
In the latest figures from NHS England, it was reported that two further people have died at at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell and City hospitals. The death toll there now stands at 397.
One person has also died at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs Stafford County and Stoke Royal hospitals. A total of 363 people have died there after contracting coronavirus.
Another patient has died at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, where the death toll is now at 1,026.

And one person has died at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital. A total of 232 people have died there.
At the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals, the total of deaths stands at 295.
And at Russell's Hall Hospital in Dudley, the total remains at 269.
Meanwhile the UK-wide death toll released by the Government, which includes deaths in and out of hospitals, increased by 138 to 43,293.
The number of positive coronavirus tests in the UK increased by 18,980, with 794 of the new cases in the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
