Students self-isolating after Covid case at Stourbridge school
Students have been sent home from a Stourbridge school after a pupil tested positive for coronavirus.
One student at Ridgewood High School in Wollaston, Stourbridge, tested positive for Covid-19 at the weekend and will now be at home for two weeks.
Headteacher Rae Cope said: “We received notification on Monday that one of our students tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend. “Fortunately, the child is now well as they self-isolate at home.
“We have requested that some of our students in the same year group self-isolate for the next fourteen days. Because of the safety measures we are operating in school, the number of potential contacts has been limited.

"Students will be able to continue their timetable at home using the new working at home systems we have in place for setting work. Ridgewood High School staff will contact all of our self-isolating students to ensure they are well and continuing to make good progress over the coming days.
