16 more coronavirus deaths in Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire
A further 16 coronavirus deaths have been confirmed across the Black Country, Birmingham and Staffordshire.
Seven new Covid-19 deaths were announced in the region's hospitals today and nine deaths were confirmed in care homes.
It means the confirmed death toll in the region now stands at 3,118, with 2,518 deaths in hospital and 600 in care homes.
Daily hospital data from the NHS showed three new deaths in Walsall, two in Staffordshire and two in Sandwell and Birmingham.
Meanwhile weekly care home data from the Office for National Statistics announced three new deaths in Wolverhampton, one in Dudley, one in Birmingham and four in Staffordshire in the week ending June 26.
For the second week in a row, no new care home coronavirus deaths were reported in Walsall or Sandwell.
The Worcestershire total also remained unchanged.

So far 231 people have died in care homes in the Black Country after contracting the virus, including 79 in Walsall, 63 in Wolverhampton, 51 in Dudley and 38 in Sandwell.
In Staffordshire care homes 200 people have died with coronavirus and in Birmingham and Worcestershire the figure stands at 169 and 172 respectively.
However the true death toll in care homes is likely to be higher as deaths have only been recorded since April 10 and the first hospital deaths in the region were on March 8.
The UK death toll, which includes deaths in and out of hospitals, increased by 155 to 43,730 today.
The number of deaths in English hospitals went up by 37 to 28,709.
Of the 37 new deaths, three were confirmed at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs Walsall Manor Hospital, where 224 patients have died with the virus.
Two more deaths were announced at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which runs County Hospital in Stafford and Royal Stoke University Hospital, where the death toll stands at 345.
One more death was announced at the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Sandwell and City Hospitals, where 377 patients have died.
Another death was also confirmed at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation, where 955 people have now died after contracting Covid-19. The trust is the region's largest and runs four hospitals including Queen Elizabeth.
One more death was also confirmed in Worcestershire, where 302 people have died with the virus in hospital.
No new deaths were announced at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross and Cannock Chase hospitals, where 285 patients have died.
The death toll also remains unchanged at 263 at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Russells Hall Hospital.
