Louisa MacDonald, aged six, has a passion for books and loves to read bedtime stories to her younger sister Sophie, aged three.

The youngster, who usually attends Little Bloxwich C of E Primary School, in Grenfell Road, has been sharing her storytelling skills online since lockdown began.

Her mum Rebecca MacDonald, aged 38 who is a primary school teacher, said: "Louisa has always had a great love of reading, from a young age she used to visit the local library and enjoy a range of books.

"One evening, Louisa asked if she could make videos of herself reading stories to share with children who may be missing their story time whilst in lockdown.

"We recorded these and she has been sharing them on social media and YouTube.

"Her headteacher has also shared her stories on the school website for other school pupils to enjoy and Aldridge tuition centre has shared one of the stories to their website too."

Louisa enjoys a range of books from Horrid Henry to Mr Men, but her favourite story is The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson.

Rebecca added: "She collects her own props and uses her toys to help bring the stories to life. Her sister even dressed as the tiger from 'The Tiger who Came To Tea' for one story."

Kind comments have been flooding in online from other parents who have enjoyed watching Louisa's videos.

She is hoping to continue spreading cheer virtually by telling even more of her favourite stories as lockdown continues.
