The Academy is specifically looking for local players aged 16-17, who want to play full-time football.

Moving into their fourth year, Ormiston NEW Football Academy provides full-time training and league matches for scholars aged 16-19, in accompaniment with their academic studies.

1st Team scholars are registered to play in the ECFA AOC College Leagues, in partnership with Wolverhampton Casuals F.C., giving them valuable experience in the adult game. The league features teams from professional league clubs.

Scholars can also opt to undertake professional coaching qualifications during their time in the Academy.

Many former scholars are currently working in coaching positions, progressing into higher education, or playing at a professional level, with 2018 scholar Levi Andoh signing for Ipswich Town F.C. last year.

Head Coach George Forsyth said: “I’m excited for another year of football with Ormiston NEW Academy. Each year we go bigger and better.

“We have high expectations for every player and want to set them on a pathway to success in professional or non-league football.”

The Academy has continually grown since its launch in 2016. Originally founded by ex-Birmingham City and Stoke City player Richard Forsyth, the Academy has since expanded, with a second academy launched in 2018 at Ormiston Forge Academy in Cradley Heath.

Players aged 16-17 who would like to register for the Ormiston NEW Football Academy can contact George Forsyth at 07952031881 or gforsyth@onewa.co.uk, before enrolment closes on 30th September.
